This original piece of art from my book Art & Soul is a mandala is based on the pine cone that was the subject in “Seasons.” I left it sitting on my work table in my studio for a few weeks after I had completed “Seasons.” One day I came back in, and it had fallen apart in such a way that it suggested another mandala. It became the basis for a painting, on dissolution.
