This mandala was created in to integrate a lot of confused and painful feelings about the suicide of my grandfather, which happened when I was 12. It became a shamanic journey into my own depths to recover pieces of myself that gotten lost at the time. The process was a huge catharsis, and when I was finished, I had an entirely different – and much healthier -- relationship to the experience and to who he was as a person. Rather than remembering him in with guilt and sadness, I could see him in the light.
