I did this painting without any idea where  it was going, starting at the bottom and working my way up, in an effort to understand chaotic feelings I was experiencing. When I got done and looked at it, I realized that something was just below the surface (of consciousness) about to burst forth into bloom, which proved to be true. It helped me to accept the place I was at knowing that it was purposeful.
